Zooarchaeologist Dr. David Orton joined the EUROFARM project this month. Over the next four years he will be studying the animal remains from our new excavations and from museum collections around the region, to understand the early development of animal husbandry.

David completed his PhD at Cambridge on hunting and herding in the Serbian Neolithic. He has published several works on the subject since, including a major synthesis paper in the European Journal of Archaeology in 2012.  He will be based at UCL Institute of Archaeology.
